Programme

1st Day: Milan / Rimini
Arrival in the region of Milan and stop for lunch. After lunch we continue our journey towards the Adriatic coast and evening arrival in Rimini, a popular seaside resort. Accommodation in a hotel located either in Miramare di Rimini or nearby. Dinner and overnight stay.


2nd Day: Ravenna
After a light breakfast, depart hotel for Ravenna, famous for its sacred Paleo-Christian monuments. Guided tour of the main architectural treasures such as the Basilica of Saint Vitale, the Mausoleo of Galla Placida which houses one of the oldest mosaic work in the town, the Baptistery Neoniano, Dante’s Tomb and the Basilica of San Apollinare Nuovo. Lunch in a restaurant downtown. In the afternoon, it is possible to extend the tour of this beautiful and historical city to include visits to the Mausoleo of Teodorico (outside view), the Baptistery of Ariani and the Basilica of Saint Apollinare in Classe. In the evening return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.


3rd Day: San Marino / S.Arcangelo
After breakfast depart the hotel for San Marino, an independent state located on Mount Titano between the Region of Romagna and Montefeltro. San Marino is one of the smallest and most ancient states in the world. It is a very quaint little town with fortresses and enchanting narrow streets. Guided tour of its historical centre and free time to stroll around on your own. Return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon we will leave for Saint Arcangelo, another small village located nearby. Arcangelo is a historical town with a medieval centre built upon Mount Giove. Guided tour of this beautiful little town and its interesting monuments. In the evening return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.


4th Day: Bologna / Parma
After breakfast depart hotel for Bologna. Together with a tour guide we will explore this beautiful medieval city on foot, so rich in monuments and palaces that it is often called ‘Piccola Roma’ – Little Rome. We will visit Piazza Maggiore, considered to be the heart of the city, the Palace of King Enzo (outside view only), the City-Hall Palace, the Neptune Fountain, the great Basilica of Saint Petronio and the city’s great Romanic treasure-the architectural delights of Saint Stefano. Lunch in a restaurant downtown. In the afternoon depart for Parma, a city of many historical monuments and artistic masterpieces but also famous for its agricultural and industrial activities. Near Parma, we will visit a prosciutto factory where we will taste this delicious cold meat together with some fine wine. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.


5th Day: Urbino / Viserba
After breakfast depart for Urbino – a city abundant in Renaissance art and architecture. Guided tour of the main sites: the University Palace – ancient home of the Montefeltro family, the church of Saint Domenico, the Ducal Palace and the Cathedral with its museum, housing paintings from the 4th and 5th century. Return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon depart for Viserba and free time to visit ‘ Italia in Miniatura’ (Miniature Italy), a fascinating attraction that allows you to take a ‘virtual’ walk around the most famous lakes, lowlands and mountains in Italy. In the evening, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.


6th Day: Milan & Departure
After breakfast depart hotel by bus. Arrive in the Region of Milan. Lunch stop. In the afternoon continue on to the airport. End of our services.
