9:30 am: departure from the hotel for the “La Villanella” estate. The culinary experience begins at the recently restored fifteenth century tower, with its breathtaking view of the Gulf of Naples, Mount Faito, Ischia, Misenum, Capri and the Vesuvius that dominates the intense blue waters below. On arrival there will be a prosecco aperitif accompanied by a platter of cured meats and mature cheeses.
The tour will continue with a visit of the remains of the Roman villa of “Pollio Felice”, Governor of Central Asia in 79 AD. A brief walk through the lemon grove where the lemons used to make the famous limoncello liqueur are gathered. Once reached the beautiful “La Villanella” estate which overlooks the entire area of the “Capo di Massa”, a picturesque rocky spur that leads to the sea, our chefs shall teach guests how to make the famous Limoncello liqueur and Potato Gnocchi, which will then be served at large tables with platters of grilled vegetables, homemade bread, flavored olive oils and wines produced on the estate.
2:30 pm: departure from “La Villanella” and visit of the “Villa Angelina” park with its famous winery and stop at the showroom where one can take home the unique flavours and aromas of the Sorrento peninsula by buying some of the products of the estate.
3:30 pm: departure from the estate and return to the hotel.
